QUALIFICATION DATA

MSCM Limited ROV Stabplate Qualification Data

The ROV Stabplate offered by MSCM Limited to the offshore Oil and Gas industry worldwide has undergone an extensive qualification programme which has included the following activities, all of which have been fully documented and witnessed. These detailed qualification procedures are available for review upon request and below we have detailed a brief description of the scope of Testing

Qualification Alignment Testing

Performance of the maximum angular and linear misalignment testing between the fixed and free stabplates simulating the ROV tooling interface

Qualification Interface Testing

Client equipment (structure's) interface ROV Tooling and FLOT interface

Hydraulic Flying lead assembly interface

Qualification Locking Mechanism Testing

The utilisation of load cells to verify and record torque values and ensure repeatability of the equipment

Qualification Secondary Release Testing

Qualification of the shear pin design within the secondary release mechanism in order to prove the integrity and repeatability of the design

Qualification Shock Testing

The application of controlled shock testing using an independent laboratory

Qualification Vibration Testing

The application of controlled vibration testing using an independent laboratory

Qualification In house Testing

Mate and de-mate testing Determine running torque's and repeatability

Multiple make and break of stabplate assemblies at full working pressure both balanced and unbalanced

Qualification Turbidity Testing

The introduction of agitated sand water mixture into the stabplate assembly while performing multiple make and break cycles of under pressure to verify the integrity of the unit against sea bed conditions

Qualification Hyperbaric Testing

Using a hyperbaric chamber to simulate sea bed pressure, An ROV torque tool to remotely operate the

stabplate within the chamber. Provide pressure to the couplings and carry out:-

     Mate and de-mate testing

     Determine running torque's and repeatability

Multiple make and break of stabplate assemblies at full working pressure both balanced and unbalanced

Qualification Shallow water Testing

Utilising a work class ROV in conjunction with a subsea XTree in shallow water the ROV Stabplate and associated equipment installation and intervention was performed

In addition to the above qualification testing MSCM Limited have in excess of some 4,000 assemblies deployed on projects throughout the world
